Golf Saudi, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Saudi Golf Federation, recently unveiled what is arguably the most ambitious and pioneering strategy in the game’s recent development history. Golf Saudi is looking to recruit a Director of Operations to form part of a dynamic team in one of the fastest growing golf companies in the world.
The Director of Operations will lead the operational teams and elevate the positioning and performance of the existing facilities under Golf Saudi ownership / management as well as providing operational expertise to new developments.
Golf Saudi is currently operating a number of golf clubs and urban golf facilities in Saudi Arabia and is actively involved in the national development programme through the provision of technical and pre-opening services. The successful candidate will therefore possess both multi-property management experience as well as pre-opening expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver operational services as per the terms of the Management / Lease agreements in place at Golf Saudi’s operational facilities
- Monitor and manage property specific financials – Pro-formas, pre-opening budgets, operational budgets, cash flows, etc.
- Creation of long term high-level strategic planning
- Maximize opportunities that capture economies of scale
- Drive third party relationship to enhance operations, uncover commercial opportunities and assist in securing the value chain.
- Audit and recommendations on Golf Saudi’s 5 Year strategic plan
- Benchmarking of best practices globally to optimize product positioning and management efficiencies
- Work closely with each department to set and exceed objectives; strategic, operational, financial, etc.
- Work alongside CFO for development of financials to support strategic, pre-opening, annual operations budgets
- Work alongside CSO on Golf Saudi Group strategic planning
- Work alongside CMO to create and implement sales and marketing strategies
- Work alongside CHRO to determine manning requirements at corporate and property levels; recruitment, budgets, job descriptions, training, etc.
- Provide investment analysis and recommendations aligned with company and facility KPI’s
- Create and implement SOP’s for clubs as part of the operational and pre-opening KPI’s
- Create property departmental strategies and business planning
- Key lead to ensure smooth transition from technical service provision to pre-opening and operations
- Creation and management of Golf Saudi partnerships
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance performance to meet stakeholder expectations
- Inspects the operational related areas on a regular basis to evaluate management standards
- Introduce Best Practice to promote consistent improvement and development within the golf project areas.
Educational Requirements:
- 4-year degree from accredited college or university in Business / Hospitality Management
- CMAE CMDip minimum preferred
- Specialist golf education / qualification preferred
- PGA or similar membership preferred
Experience / Skills Requirements:
- Multi-site management experience
- Minimum of 10 years in senior golf management
- Pre-opening experience required
- Middle East work experience preferred

This job will require the successful candidate to live in Saudi Arabia
