Job Specifications :    

Education :

  • Diploma / Degree in Golf Management, PGA, Business Management.Experience
  • 10 years’ experience in a related field. Skills & Knowledge
  • In-depth knowledge of primarily Golf Operations and Sports Operations;
  • Knowledge of Golf Course Maintenance is an added advantage;
  • Strong leadership and ability to organize and stage events and major golf tournaments at an international level;
  • Knowledge of Golf academy operations, services and programs;
  • Knowledge of Pro Shop operations and merchandise;
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;
  • Knowledge of Pace of play management, golf etiquette and rules of golf;
  • Strong project management skills related to course design/re-design and course construction and/or upgrades;
  • Knowledge of Golf buggy fleet management;
  • Sound Financial Management, including annual budget preparation and execution;
  • Scoping and presenting new proposals to enhance revenue opportunities and costs savings;
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of general administration;
  • Ability to work within a Committee structure;


Job Objectives :

Oversee Golf Operations, Golf Course Maintenance through the Golf Course Manager, Golf Superintendents, Horticulture Manager, and Sports Operations through the Sports Executive. Facilitate and actively promote a Member centric culture across all Departments.


Responsibilities :Golf Operations :

  • Plan and execute the Annual golf events calendar and review with the Club Captain;
  • Manage the Club’s league golf for both the men’s and women’s categories;
  • Have oversight of the overall playability and presentation of the golf courses;
  • Support Corporate golf clients and staging the events;
  • Coordinate with Marketing for overseas golf events;
  • Actively participate and contribute to Development Committee meetings covering both golf courses;
  • Attend Singapore Golf Association meetings and events;


Golf Course Maintenance :

  • Coordinate the Golf Course Management golf course programs to be aligned with golf operation events and members expectations;
  • Sports Operations
  • Oversee the Sports Complex operations, including events and activities through the Sports Executive;
  • Keep abreast of the events and activities in Gym Operations, Swimming and Racquet Sports;


Financial & Governance :

•   Develop, maintain and control an effective budget for Golf Operations, Golf Course Management and Sports Operations;


Members :

  • Obtain Members and staff feedback and share with relevant management and Committees; 


Staff :

  • Develop a program for skills upgrading of Supervisors and rank and file staff through proper on the job training and rotation of duties;
  • Manage and motivate the staff to achieve high performance;


Facilities :

  • Participate in the Monthly Club Walk through to pick up on defects and improvements;


Others :

  • Keep abreast of the latest development in Golf Operations and Golf Course Management;
  • Regularly review and recommend golf club affiliations and reciprocal arrangements of top golf courses in the region;
  • Upgrade and continually improve SOP’s for Golf Operations and Golf Course Maintenance and Sports Operations;
  • Identify and develop value add products and services to enhance Members and guest experiences;
  • Attend Greens Committee, General Committee and H & R Committee meetings;
  • Acts on decision and instructions from the Greens Committee and H & R Committee in a timely, professional manner;
  • Check and validate information before circulation.
  • Maintain close working relationships with supporting and across all departments.
  • Attend Department Heads and Executives meetings.
  • Responsible for the overall administration of the Division.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Committees and General Manager from time to time.
