Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Delegates at next week’s Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) Annual International Summit 2026 will be given a unique glimpse into the renovation of the East Course at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC).

Featuring a high-profile line-up of speakers, the Summit will take place at the Sime Darby Convention Centre (SDCC) within the grounds of the KLGCC, on October 28-29.

One of the highlights will be a 90-minute ‘KLGCC Reconstruction Tour’ during which KLGCC General Manager and AGIF Vice President Adam Calver and Sean Griffin, Senior Project Manager at Green Dynasty Pte Ltd, will lead a walk around the renovated East Course, discussing the decisions behind its transformation.

AGIF member companies are playing an active role in the renovation with Green Dynasty appointed to oversee the successful delivery of the Sir Nick Faldo design project. The full 18 holes are scheduled to be opened in March, 2027.

In addition to KLGCC, Faldo Design and Green Dynasty, other AGIF member companies involved in the project are CapillaryFlow, Centaur Asia Pacific, EcoBunker, Jebsen & Jessen, Profile Products, Sports Turf Solutions, Sustane, Tech International and Toro.

The theme for the Summit is: The Future of Golf in Asia: Innovation in Club & Turf Management with parallel tracks on day one for club managers and executives (Leading the Club) and course superintendents, greenkeepers and agronomists (Mastering the Turf).

This year’s Summit programme also includes the AGIF Golf Business Leaders Tournament at Templer Park Country Club on October 27, the AGIF Annual Awards Gala Dinner (October 28) and exclusive access to the Maybank Championship experience.

On the adjacent West Course at the KLGCC, the LPGA Tour’s US$3 million Maybank Championship – featuring many of the world’s top players – will be held from October 29-November 1.

For the first time since the Summit’s inauguration, the conference fee paid by companies for eligible Malaysian employees is HRD Corp claimable, allowing them to receive full reimbursement.
