Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: A practical look at how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing golf club operations will be placed under the microscope at next month’s Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) Annual International Summit 2026.

Among the keynote addresses at the three-day extravaganza (October 27-29) at the Sime Darby Convention Centre (SDCC) will be a presentation from Stephanie Jamieson entitled Beyond the Hype: The GM’s Playbook for What AI Is Really Doing in Golf.

Head of Education at the PGA of Australia where she’s spent more than 13 years shaping the future of the golf industry through education, Jamieson said: “At the AGIF Annual International Summit, I’ll share where AI is already making an impact today, and where it’s heading next.

“I’ll take a practical look at how AI is changing golf club operations right now – not the hype, but what’s actually delivering results for operators today and where the trajectory is heading over the next few years.”

In her role at the PGA of Australia, Jamieson leads a connected education eco-system spanning entry-level participation through to nationally recognised qualifications and professional development programmes across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, working alongside global governing bodies including The R&A and the International Golf Federation.

A committed advocate for workforce development across the industry, Jamieson is now turning that same lens toward artificial intelligence – exploring what it means for golf operations and coaching, and how individuals can build their own capability in the space.

Jamieson’s Kuala Lumpur presentation will cover:

• Where AI is Already Making a Difference: Revenue and dynamic pricing, time savings on admin and staffing, member and guest experience tools, and course and turf management, each backed by real examples and numbers rather than generalities.

• Where we are Heading: The widening gap between early adopters and those waiting, AI’s growing role as a strategic asset for club data and why AI should augment hospitality rather than replace it. Jamieson will also touch on what this means specifically for operators across Asia, including where the region has room to leapfrog rather than just catch up.

• Data into Action: A practical pathway giving participants low-friction ways they can start applying this at their own club, facility, place to play, rather than leaving the room with an abstract ‘AI matters’ takeaway.

The AGIF Annual International Summit is established as the region’s premier gathering for golf industry professionals, business leaders, club executives, superintendents, developers, architects, tourism stakeholders, suppliers, technology providers and industry decision-makers from across Asia-Pacific.

Featuring a high-profile line-up of speakers, the Conference will take place at the SDCC within the grounds of the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC), on October 28-29.

On the adjacent West Course at the KLGCC, the LPGA Tour’s US$3 million Maybank Championship – featuring many of the world’s top players – will be held from October 29-November 1.

The theme for the 2026 Summit is: The Future of Golf in Asia: Innovation in Club & Turf Management with parallel tracks on day one for club managers and executives (Leading the Club) and course superintendents, greenkeepers and agronomists (Mastering the Turf).

This year’s Summit programme also includes the AGIF Golf Business Leaders Tournament at Templer Park Country Club on October 27, the AGIF Annual Awards Gala Dinner (October 28) and exclusive access to the Maybank Championship experience.

Located less than 20 minutes from Kuala Lumpur city centre, the SDCC is surrounded by greenery and accessible from five major highways.
