Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: In line with its commitment to nurturing Malaysian golf talent and strengthening the future of women’s golf in the country, Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) has appointed Liyana Durisic as a Golf Ambassador.

At 25, Durisic represents a new generation of Malaysian professional golfers making their mark on the regional stage. Competing across Tours in Australia, Thailand and the Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) Tour, she continues to build momentum with consistent performances and tournament victories.

Durisic captured several domestic titles in 2025 and is currently listed as 567th in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Ranking.

She continues to gain valuable international experience through tournaments across the region with recent appearances at the Victorian Open and the Women’s Ford NSW Open in Australia, where she made the cut in challenging weather conditions, strengthening her competitive resilience and professional growth.

Although she has only recently begun her formal association with KLGCC, Durisic is already familiar with the club’s championship environment, having competed at the Maybank Championship in both 2024 and 2025, gaining valuable experience on one of Malaysia’s most prestigious tournament stages.

Of her appointment, Durisic said: “Being a KLGCC Ambassador means being part of a great golf club that truly supports golfers at the highest level. It represents the club’s prestige and integrity in the game, while empowering me to continue developing as a professional golfer.

“I’m also excited to contribute to the club beyond competition, whether through supporting events or helping bridge the gap between aspiring golfers and professional players. It’s important for young golfers to see that there is a pathway to pursue the sport professionally.”

Adam Calver, General Manager at KLGCC, said the club is proud to support Durisic as part of its broader mission to elevate Malaysian women’s golf and provide opportunities for talented athletes to thrive.

Calver said: “At KLGCC, we believe that supporting athletes goes beyond providing world-class facilities. It’s about building an eco-system where Malaysian golfers can grow, compete and dream bigger.

“Liyana represents the determination, discipline and ambition that define the next generation of Malaysian women golfers. Alongside outstanding ambassadors such as Kelly Tan and Mirabel Ting, we are proud to support a group of athletes who reflect the strength and future of Malaysian golf.

“Our vision is to see Malaysian golfers succeed, not only regionally but on the global stage. By supporting talents like Liyana, we hope to inspire more young Malaysians – especially women – to pursue the sport and believe that they too can rise to the highest levels of the game.”
