Singapore: The Singapore Island Country Club (SICC) has formalised its partnership with Charles Schwab Singapore as title sponsor of the 32nd SICC – Charles Schwab Junior Invitational Golf Championship (JIGC).

Recognised as one of Asia-Pacific’s most prestigious junior tournaments, the championship will bring together top youth golfers from across the region for three days of competition (June 16-18) at the club’s historic The Island Course.

The signing marks a deepening partnership between SICC and Charles Schwab, building on the strong foundation established when the company first came on board as a sponsor of the championship in 2025.

With Charles Schwab’s renewed commitment as title sponsor, this year’s edition is set to further elevate the tournament experience, providing junior golfers with a world-class platform to compete, develop, and prepare for the highest levels of the sport.

SICC Club Captain Lam Zhiqun said: “This sponsorship signing is a proud moment for SICC and a testament to the growing stature of our championship. The 32nd SICC – Charles Schwab JIGC has always stood as a platform for nurturing the next generation of golfing talent in the region, and with Charles Schwab by our side as title sponsor, we are well-positioned to elevate the experience for every junior competitor who tees up in June.

“We look forward to welcoming the finest young golfers from across Asia-Pacific to our historic course.”

Ian Roberts, General Manager of SICC, added: “We are delighted to formalise Charles Schwab’s role as title sponsor of the 32nd SICC – Charles Schwab JIGC. Charles Schwab shares our belief in investing in young golfers, and together we are committed to creating a competition that inspires the next generation of golfers. We are grateful for their continued confidence in the club and in what the championship represents.”

Greg Baker, Managing Director (APAC), Charles Schwab Singapore Pte Ltd, said: “Golf has long been an important part of Charles Schwab’s heritage, and we are proud to deepen our partnership with SICC as title sponsor of the 32nd SICC – Charles Schwab JIGC. We strongly believe in investing in youth and supporting platforms that help young golfers develop both on and off the course.

“The championship represents an important opportunity for aspiring golfers across the region to challenge themselves, grow in confidence, and pursue excellence. We look forward to an exciting week of competition and to welcoming the players, their families, and the SICC community.”

Sanctioned by the Singapore Golf Association (SGA) and recognised by the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), the JIGC has established itself as a cornerstone event in the region’s junior golf calendar. The championship unfolds over 54 holes in a stroke play format, featuring Boys’ and Girls’ divisions across 12 years to 19 years old.

Drawing more than 100 aspiring golfers from across the region each year, it has built a strong reputation as a platform for nurturing future champions.

The 32nd SICC – Charles Schwab Junior Invitational Golf Championship marks a return to The Island Course, which hosted the tournament for many years before it moved to the club’s Bukit Course.

Recently reopened following an extensive redevelopment, The Island Course offers championship playability defined by strategically contoured greens, reshaped fairways, and carefully positioned bunkers. Coupled with varying wind conditions across the course, players will be challenged to demonstrate precision, course management, adaptability, and mental resilience.

Its return as host venue reflects SICC’s continued commitment to providing a competitive platform that not only tests performance but also supports the development of the region’s next generation of golfing talent.
