Hong Kong, SAR, China: Plover Cove Golf Club has reached a key stage in development with the commencement of clubhouse construction which spans over 200,000 square feet, marking as the key moment in Q1 2026.

The HK$4.5 billion project continues to progress toward its planned 2027 opening, with works now underway along Ting Kok Road in Tai Po, where a distinctive contemporary Hong Kong architectural identity is beginning to take shape.

Dean Nelson, General Manager of Plover Cove Golf Club, said: “It’s remarkable to see the project take shape day by day. Delivering something of this scale requires a clear focus on quality and a long-term view of what we are creating for future members and the golfing industry. With clubhouse construction now underway, we are continuing to make steady progress toward bringing the full vision of Plover Cove Golf Club to life.”

Rising across four floors and the rooftop, the clubhouse is thoughtfully arranged to strike a harmonious balance between golfer’s functionality and lifestyle.

Purpose-designed spaces elevate the golfing experience. Complementing the fully technology-equipped driving range and golf academy, the indoor golf simulators are seamlessly positioned between the pro shop and the bag drop area, which will allow future members to warm up regardless of weather conditions and begin a round with ease.

Sustainability remains a core consideration throughout the development, from the adaptive reuse of landfill to the integration of environmentally responsive design across both the course and clubhouse. These measures are intended to support long-term resilience and align with evolving expectations for responsible golf development in the region.

The Plover Cove Golf Club project is being developed in collaboration with internationally renowned course architects Fry/Straka Global Golf Course Design, agronomy and sustainability consultants Turfgrass, and Flagstick Golf Course Construction Management.

The landmark project will transform up to 53 hectares of restored landfill into a course measuring over 6,600 yards, complete with a dynamic clubhouse offering a full suite of luxury lifestyle facilities.
