Scottsdale, Arizona, United States: Four-time Long Drive World Champion and global golf ambassador Maurice Allen has been welcomed to Team Troon – a collection of top international golf talent representing the Troon brand across professional golf and beyond.

A native of Florida, Allen is one of the most recognisable and influential figures in golf. Known for his personality, elite athleticism, and record-setting power, Allen made history in 2015 and again in 2016 by capturing the Long Drivers European Tour titles, in 2017 by winning the World Long Drivers Tour title, and again in 2018 when he captured the World Long Drive Championship, becoming the first African American man to hold each of the three respective titles.

A three-time number one ranked long drive competitor in the world, Allen’s career includes multiple international long drive victories, winning on five of seven continents, world-record swing speed and ball-speed achievements, and being the only person in history to have ever successfully hit a golf ball across Niagara Falls (2019).

Beyond long drive competitions, Allen is committed to giving back and growing the game. He is an ambassador for the Boys and Girls Club and the American Cancer Society. His philanthropic work and his ‘Grow the Game’ initiatives have introduced thousands of young athletes to the sport, emphasising mentorship, education, and opportunity.

He dedicates his time to the Orlando Minority Youth Golf Association which provides inner-city youth with the opportunity to learn the golf while attaining skills to succeed in life. In 2024 alone, Allen gave more than US$100,000 in college scholarships, established US$25,000 in savings accounts, secured over US$35,000 in aid to his former high school and former Boys and Girls Clubs, aided sleeping bags and essentials for 400 of Orlando’s homeless population, and handed out 100-plus turkeys for Thanksgiving in his local community.

Allen said: “Joining Team Troon is an incredible honour. From the moment I connected with the Troon team, I felt their passion for innovation, excellence, and expanding the game. Troon’s global reach and commitment to community align perfectly with my mission both on and off the tee. I’m excited to represent the brand, inspire new golfers, and bring even more energy to Team Troon.”

Allen joins a distinguished roster of Team Troon athletes, including LPGA Tour golfers Benedetta Moresco and Cheyenne Woods, and PGA Tour golfers Justin Thomas, Gary Woodland, Matt Kuchar, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Alex Noren and Erik van Rooyen. Each golfer carries the Troon logo on their golf bag, with select players sporting full Troon‑branded bags, and also engage in activations, junior clinics, social engagement and beyond.

Troon President and CEO Tim Schantz said: “Maurice is a dynamic addition to Team Troon. We first met Maurice when he was competing in the World Long Drive Tour’s Smash in the Sun at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes. We immediately appreciated his talent, charisma, and passion for growing the game, making him a logical addition to our Team. Maurice has a unique ability to connect with golfers of all ages and backgrounds, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to the Troon family.”
