Bangkok, Thailand: While global travel numbers wobble, one corner of the industry is thriving with inbound golf travel to Asia continuing to surge.
That’s the educated view of Mark Siegel, Founder and Managing Director at Golfasian, the award-winning inbound tour operator that handled a record-setting 21,000 golf vacations and booked 73,000 room nights last year alone.
Siegel says that while Thailand and Vietnam remain the heavy hitters, particularly with the over-50s crowd, adventurous golfers are now chasing bucket-list rounds across Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
Highlighting the region’s outstanding golfing venues and developing trends in the game is Asian GOLF & More, the fourth edition of which landed in late January.
Siegel, whose company stands behind the magazine, said: “Our clients want world-class courses and unforgettable experiences off the fairway. That’s exactly why Asian GOLF & More covers everything from destination deep-dives to cooking classes and river rafting. It’s the full picture of what makes Asia extraordinary.”
Published every February and September, the magazine is free to download – no paywall, no sign-up – ‘because Golfasian believes the best way to get golfers dreaming about Asia is to show them what’s waiting’.
