Lam Dong, Central Highlands, Vietnam: This week’s inaugural Vietnam International Team Golf Championship marks a milestone as the country’s first international team tournament contested in a Ryder Cup-style match play format, welcoming national teams from multiple countries and territories.

The tournament is being held at the Greg Norman Golf Course Design (GNGCD)-sculpted NovaWorld Phan Thiet Golf Club, located within the large-scale NovaWorld Phan Thiet integrated resort and sports complex in Lam Dong Province.

The event features a strong international field comprising teams from Cambodia, Canada, China, Japan, Korea, Laos, Thailand, the United States and Vietnam.

The championship is being contested across three primary formats: fourball, foursomes, and singles, offering a mix of strategic approaches and competitive rhythm. All participating golfers are elite amateur players, with a maximum eligibility requirement of single-digit handicaps.

Beyond its sporting significance, the Vietnam International Team Golf Championship 2026 is positioned as a platform for international exchange and co-operation, strengthening connections among regional and global golf communities, promoting cultural and sporting interaction, and fostering long-term collaboration through golf.

The tournament is jointly organised by NovaGroup, NovaWorld Phan Thiet, Nova Sports, and Golf Pro Company, and is being officiated by a team of international referees.

Under the management of 54 Vietnam, NovaWorld Phan Thiet Golf Club plans to host a series of tournaments throughout 2026, reinforcing its ambition to elevate its standing as a premier PGA-standard golf venue in Vietnam. The sustained tournament calendar is expected to position the club as a key destination for golfers from Vietnam and across the region.

Serving as the exclusive accompanying partners of the Vietnam International Team Golf Championship 2026 are Hoa Sen Home and Hoa Sen Plastic Pipe, two leading brands under Hoa Sen Group.
