Rain Bird’s Seminar Support for Superintendents

Sam Son Town, Vietnam: More than 120 golf course superintendents and turf professionals from across the country attended the Vietnam Superintendents Association’s (VSA) latest two-day seminar.

Among a wide range of topics related to golf course maintenance that were covered during the gathering at FLC Sam Son were sustainability and operational excellence, highlighting the growing sophistication and professionalism of Vietnam’s turf management community.

The event was sponsored by Rain Bird Southeast Asia, in partnership with the company’s Vietnam distributor, Tan Thanh Son (TTS).

Rob Weiks, Rain Bird’s Area Manager for Southeast Asia, said: “Our involvement reflects Rain Bird’s on-going commitment to supporting the education and development of golf course professionals across the region.”

Cuong, Senior Sales Representative at TTS, delivered a comprehensive Rain Bird presentation in Vietnamese, highlighting the company’s latest irrigation innovations and detailing how advanced system design can support more efficient and sustainable course management.

During his presentation, Weiks spoke about the positivity, professionalism and growing momentum within the VSA, noting how collaboration between industry partners, distributors, and superintendents continues to elevate the standards of golf course management in Vietnam.

Weiks said: “Rain Bird Southeast Asia strongly believes in the value of education, partnership, and continuous learning. By collaborating closely with the Vietnamese Superintendents Association, we aim to help develop both current and future superintendents – providing them with the knowledge, technology, and confidence needed to achieve long-term success in the field.

“As the golf industry in Vietnam continues to expand, Rain Bird remains committed to playing an active role in empowering local professionals, promoting best practices, and ensuring the sustainable growth of the game throughout the region.”
