Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Six-time Major champion Sir Nick Faldo will join many of the region’s most influential golfing voices at this month’s Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) Annual International Summit.

Winner of three Open Championships and three Green Jackets, Sir Nick, England’s finest ever golfer, has also enjoyed success in the fields of golf broadcasting and golf course architecture.

“We’re honoured that Sir Nick will be able to participate and share his thoughts on a wide range of topical topics,” said Chris Gray, President of the AGIF.

As well as discussing the general state of the game globally and in Asia, in particular, Sir Nick will outline the latest developments in his acclaimed junior Faldo Series and will also speak about his on-going golf course design projects, as well as his role as Golf Course Design Consultant at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC).

“Since his days as the world’s number one golfer in the 1990s, Sir Nick has been a regular visitor to Asia in his various capacities, most notably as a golf course designer,” said Rishi Narain, Head – Events, Sponsorship and Membership at the AGIF.

“Faldo Design has been a long-standing member of the AGIF and with his portfolio of courses around the region and his continued commitment to junior golf, Sir Nick has unique insights about the game on many levels. We look forward to hearing his take on golf, past and present, and his thoughts about what the future might hold for the Royal and Ancient game,” added Narain.

The four central themes that will be highlighted during the gathering at Sime Darby Convention Centre on October 29-30 are Innovation and Future Trends, Operational Sustainability, Education and Demographics and Tourism.

For the second year in succession, the Summit is aligning with the richest LPGA Tour event in the region. Adjacent to the Sime Darby Convention Centre, the West Course at the KLGCC is hosting the US$3 million Maybank Championship – featuring many of the world’s top players – from October 30-November 2. Delegates at the AGIF Summit will be granted access to attend the tournament.

Meanwhile, new dimensions have been added to this year’s Summit with the introduction of an AGIF Business Leaders Invitational at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort on October 28 and an AGIF Gala Awards Night on October 29, honouring prominent individuals and organisations who have made important contributions to the golf industry in the region.

Gold sponsors of the 2025 AGIF Annual International Summit are The R&A, Club Car and Trojan Battery Company with Centaur Asia Pacific and Jebsen & Jessen as Silver sponsors. Tourism Malaysia is the Event Partner and Sime Darby Convention Centre the Venue Partner.
