Change-Makers Commit to KL Summit

AGIF Speakers

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Change-makers from the global golfing industry are continuing to add weight to the line-up at this month’s Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) Annual International Summit.

Featuring globally acclaimed speakers and panellists addressing the golf industry’s most pressing issues, the Summit is being staged at the Sime Darby Convention Centre on October 29-30.

Among the latest confirmed attendees are James Cronk, President and Co-Founder of the Cronk Group, Nick Brown, Export Sales Manager at Campey Turf Care Systems, and Catalina Tapia, Co-Founder, CEO and Creative Director at Golf Caddies.

Joining them will be Rob Weiks, Southeast Asia Area Manager – Golf at the Rain Bird Corporation, Joshua Ho, the Singapore Golf Association’s Chief Executive Officer and Shanghai-based Jessie Lu, Product Management and Marketing Manager, Asia at Club Car.

Rishi Narain, Head – Events, Sponsorship and Membership at the AGIF, said: “With these thought-leaders on board, this year’s Summit promises to be a truly dynamic exchange of ideas, innovation, and collaboration across the golf industry. We can’t wait to welcome the region’s golf community to Kuala Lumpur in a few weeks’ time for an unmissable gathering of change-makers.”

Further appeal is added by the fact that the Summit is aligning with the richest LPGA Tour event in the region for the second year in succession.

Adjacent to the Sime Darby Convention Centre, the West Course at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) is hosting the US$3 million Maybank Championship – featuring many of the world’s top players – from October 30-November 2. Delegates at the AGIF Summit will be granted access to attend the tournament.

Meanwhile, new dimensions have been added to this year’s Summit with the introduction of an AGIF Business Leaders Invitational at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort on October 28 and an AGIF Gala Awards Night on October 29, honouring prominent individuals and organisations who have made important contributions to the golf industry in the region.

Gold sponsors of the 2025 AGIF Annual International Summit are The R&A, Club Car and Trojan Battery Company with Toro as a Silver sponsor. Sime Darby Convention Centre is the Venue Partner while the Malaysian Association of Golf Recreational Club Owners (MAGRO) and the Golf Course Superintendents’ Association of Malaysia (GCSAM) are Supporting Partners.
