Hue City, Vietnam: Turf Management, Tourism, Technology and Sustainability will be the focus of attention at next month’s Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) Club & Turf Management Conference.

To be staged at the award-winning Laguna Lăng Cô Resort on November 1-2, the event will be a key part of Wellness Tourism Week, within the framework of the National Tourism Year in Hue 2025 – Vietnam Golf Festival.

Hosted in partnership with the Vietnam Golf Association (VGA), the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province and the Ancient Capital Golf Organisation, the conference reflects the AGIF’s commitment to raising professional standards, driving sustainability and promoting collaboration across the region.

Chris Gray, President of the AGIF, said: “Delegates will experience a truly interactive programme, from case studies to expert insights on real-world challenges in course management, irrigation, turf science and environmental certification.”

The keynote welcome address will be delivered by Hue Ministry of Tourism and Culture followed by vision statements from senior representatives of the VGA and Vietnam Golf & Leisure magazine.

Among a distinguished line-up of internationally-acclaimed speakers are The R&A’s Nick Shan, Smartscore’s Yeom In-wook, James Cronk from Guru Collective, Kenneth Mackay from England’s Wentworth Club, Envoy Golf’s Mark Matehaere, Links Golf Construction’s Jack Linn and Club Car’s Jessie Lu.

Rishi Narain, Head – Events, Sponsorship and Membership at the AGIF, said: “The importance of the AGIF Conference is heightened given Vietnam’s rise in prominence as one of the world’s most dynamic golf destinations.

“Delegates will enjoy a rewarding weekend of serious knowledge sharing, networking and insightful business sessions, making it a cannot-miss event for anyone working in the golf industry in Vietnam or with an interest in the country’s rapid golfing development.

“The event is made possible through the valued support of organisations such as Smartscore and Club Car, our Media Partner Vietnam Golf & Leisure and Event Partner 54, reinforcing the collective commitment to advancing education, innovation and sustainability across Asia’s golfing industry.”

Laguna Golf Lăng Cô, designed by Sir Nick Faldo, is renowned for harmonising natural terrain with environmental preservation, making it the ideal venue for a sustainability-focused Summit.

The AGIF Club & Turf Management Conference will follow on directly from the inaugural Vietnam Golf Course Owners Summit 2025 (VNGOS 2025) on October 30-31.

It will be the first time that golf course owners, government leaders, international experts, and global partners have converged in Vietnam for an official forum to unify their vision, build development standards, and establish long-term directions for the industry.

54 The Global Sports and Entertainment Agency has been appointed to manage and execute the Summit which is expected to become a significant milestone, contributing to Vietnam’s rise as a leading golf destination in the region, while also opening new co-operation opportunities between the fields of sports, tourism, and the economy.

The event is governed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Hue City People’s Committee. It is supported by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, Vietnam Sports Administration, Hue City Department of Culture, Sports, and the Hue City Department of Tourism.
