London, England: Nominations are open for The Women in Golf Awards, an annual event in the United Kingdom which as well as recognising the contribution of women in the UK also has an international category.

Previous winners of the international accolade include former Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) Secretary Karen Proctor, ex-Regional Sales Director APAC at Textron, Karen Lunn, CEO of the Women’s PGA of Australia, and Elisa Gaudet, Founder of Women’s Golf Day.

The International Woman Award, sponsored by Perry Ellis International, is presented to a woman working outside of the UK who has made a significant contribution to the part of industry in which they work. Nominations will be accepted for any discipline and should detail their achievements in the last year and across their career.

The judges are looking for women who demonstrate leadership and use their profile to elevate women in their region.

Nicole Wheatley, Founder of the Women in Golf Awards, said: “It is incredibly important that we look beyond our borders to learn from the successful women working in golf outside of the UK.

“The previous winners are incredible women who have enjoyed fantastic careers and have certainly inspired me. It has been a privilege to share their stories, and I am looking forward to learning about this year’s nominees.”

The winners of this year’s Women in Golf Awards will be honoured at a ceremony at Foxhills in Surrey, England on November 27.

Nominations can be made at www.womeningolfawards.co.uk until midnight on September 30.
