Farmingdale, New York, United States:  As an extension of the PGA of America’s commitment to PGA Jr League and local youth, the 2025 Ryder Cup will host PGA of America Youth Day on Thursday, September 25, at Bethpage Black.

PGA Jr League teams from the Metropolitan PGA Section and local high school students are invited to attend, at no charge, the practice round and Junior Ryder Cup singles matches with a ticketed adult on Thursday.

Access for attendees will provide a chance to see the United States and European Ryder Cup teams practice and also cheer on the 24 young men and women representing the US and Europe in the decisive singles matches of the 13th Junior Ryder Cup, both at Bethpage Black.

Since 1997, the Junior Ryder Cup has matched the top junior golfers from the United States against the top junior golfers from Europe in a biennial competition that leads into the Ryder Cup.

Major champions, PGA Tour and LPGA Tour players are among the notable Junior Ryder Cup alumni including Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler, Tony Finau, Sam Burns, Cameron Young, Lexi Thompson, Rose Zhang, Yealimi Noh and Brittany Altomare of the United States; and Rory McIlroy, Rasmus Hojgaard, Nicolas Colsaerts, Suzann Pettersen, Emily Pedersen and Carlota Ciganda of Europe.

“We look forward to hosting local high school students and PGA Jr League teams on the eve of the 45th Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black,” said Bryan Karns, 2025 Ryder Cup Director. “PGA of America Youth Day offers attendees a fantastic opportunity to watch the US and European players prepare for golf’s greatest team event while also experiencing the excitement of the Junior Ryder Cup’s singles matches as the future stars of our game compete head-to-head.”

Additionally, a select group of Youth Day participants will attend ‘Beyond the Green’, a career exploration event hosted by the PGA of America REACH Foundation featuring numerous New York-based sports organisations and brands. Youth attendees will represent local organisations such as 100 Black Men of New York, First Tee of Metropolitan New York, The Bridge Golf Foundation, All Star Code, Leadership Training Institute, Sports Empowerment Leadership Academy, Winged Foot Golf Club, Metropolitan Golf Association and Excel Golf.

Youth Day attendees will conclude their day at the Ryder Cup Opening Ceremony.

As part of the PGA of America’s mission to grow interest, inclusion and participation in golf, juniors aged 15 and under will receive free admission to Bethpage Black on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday when accompanied by a ticketed adult. Each ticketed adult may bring up to two juniors per day at no additional cost.

Junior admission tickets do not require registration and will be available on-site at the Ticket Office located at the Main Spectator Entrance on the day of attendance. Junior tickets cannot be obtained in advance and are available even if the Ryder Cup is sold out.
