Houston, Texas, United States: A stellar line-up of Golf Saudi ambassadors will headline the field at next week’s Aramco Houston Championship (September 5-7).
The tournament at Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland is the fourth instalment on the PIF Global Series, a ground-breaking new set of competitions on the Ladies European Tour (LET).
Among the stars confirmed are Charley Hull and Carlota Ciganda who are joined by Bronte Law, Celine Boutier, Anne Van Dam, Alison Lee, Pauline Roussin-Bouchard, ‘Lily’ Muni He and Marianne Skarpnord. Together, they bring a wealth of experience and flair to Houston.
Bringing together some of the games most accomplished talent, the Golf Saudi ambassadors with showcase not only world-class golf, but also their shared commitment to growing the women’s game on a global scale.
The ambassadors arrive with momentum at the Golfcrest Country Club, with Spaniard Ciganda achieving a tied 11th place finish at the PIF London Championship, the third competition on the PIF Global Series. England’s Hull, meanwhile, continues to cement her reputation as one of the game’s most entertaining players and is looking to return to her excellent run of form before injury struck, ruling her out of the PIF London Championship.
France’s Boutier, the 2023 Evian Championship winner, has six wins apiece on both the LPGA and the LET, including a win at the Aramco Team Series – Shenzhen in 2024.
Also looking to add to their accolades in Houston will be long-hitting Dutchwoman Van Dam, American Lee, a double Aramco Team Series individual winner, England’s Law, former world number one amateur Roussin-Bouchard of France, China’s He and Norwegian Skarpnord.
“This elite roster of Golf Saudi ambassadors represents the game’s broader mission – improving accessibility, inspiring new audiences and building a unique legacy for the future generations of women’s golf,” said a spokesperson for the tournament organisers.
“Their presence in Houston and around the world in the four other PIF Global Series events clearly demonstrates Golf Saudi’s continued commitment to ensuring that these top-tier tournaments don’t only guarantee entertainment, but also female empowerment,” added the spokesperson.
