Manila, Philippines: Golf Genius, the leading provider of cloud-hosted golf software solutions, has announced a new partnership with the National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP), focused on driving the association’s digitalisation of its tournament operations and delivery of golf events in the Philippines.

Commencing this month, the NGAP will use Golf Genius Tournament Management to plan, organise and execute its full schedule of golf tournaments and events, including the 62nd edition of the Southeast Asian Amateur Golf Team Championship (Putra Cup).

Alfredo S. Panlilio, Chairman of the NGAP, said: “Having the right technology and systems in place is crucial to achieving our aim of lifting player engagement and interest in golf across the Philippines.

“Through our partnership with Golf Genius, the NGAP will be able to create a more connected tournament experience for our staff, players and spectators through world-class digital tools and touchpoints.”

Developed in association with national golfing bodies (NGBs) and professional golf associations around the world, including England Golf, Golf NSW, the PGA of New Zealand and the Japan Golf Association, Golf Genius Tournament Management modernises championship management with digital tools that improve efficiency and player experience.

Through the partnership with Golf Genius, NGAP will benefit from a full suite of features in the software such as live scoring, real-time leaderboards, online player registration and communication tools, custom reports and a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) integration.

“We’re really proud to be working with the National Golf Association of the Philippines as their Tournament Management provider,” said Peter Shaw, General Manager – APAC for Golf Genius.

“Using our extensive experience in supporting many other NGBs and associations around the world, we will work closely with the NGAP to develop a more effective and efficient operation for staff and an innovative tournament experience that engages and excites players.”
