Singapore: Tirupathi Agro Ind, a leader in sustainable turf management, has become the first Indian company to join the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF).
Tirupathi Agro Ind has been the official supplier of Suståne Natural Fertilizer Inc since 2020 and collaborates with several international brands, offering organic-based fertilisers, soil conditioners, and eco-friendly turf solutions.
The company’s contributions extend beyond golf. Tirupathi Agro Ind is also working with multiple state cricket associations in India to enhance cricket outfields through advanced agronomic practices and tailored soil care programmes.
This involvement underscores the company’s broader commitment to raising turf quality and sustainability across sports infrastructure.
Rohit Khatod, Managing Partner at Tirupathi Agro Ind, said: “Joining the Asian Golf Industry Federation is a proud milestone for us.
“As the first Indian company to become a member, we see this as an opportunity to collaborate with global leaders, share regional knowledge, and drive sustainable turf practices across Asia.
“Our focus has always been on delivering science-backed, organic solutions that improve soil health and surface performance.
“With a strong presence across golf courses, stadiums, and public landscapes, Tirupathi Agro Ind aims to contribute actively to the AGIF’s training initiatives, sustainability programmes, and technical discussions that shape the future of turf management in the region.”
In joining the AGIF as an Associate Business member, Tirupathi Agro Ind strengthens the Federation’s diverse membership and expands its presence in the Indian sub-continent, a key and growing market for golf and sports turf development.
Chris Gray, President of the AGIF, said: “We are pleased to welcome Tirupathi Agro Ind into the Federation. Their commitment to sustainable turf care and regional impact in both golf and cricket perfectly aligns with our mission to promote excellence and innovation across Asia. We look forward to their contributions and insights.”
Last year, the Troon Golf-managed Prestige Golfshire Club became the first Indian golf club to become a Facility Member of the AGIF.
