Seoul, Korea: In a decisive move to propel its next chapter of expansion, SMARTSCORE Group, Korea’s leading golf technology and platform company, has announced a bold new leadership structure aimed at sharpening strategic focus and advancing its global presence.
Effective July 1, the company has transitioned to a three-CEO system, appointing Yeom In-wook as CEO of Global Business and Park Noh-sung, Co-founder and Head of Platform Division, as Group CEO, joining current Chairman and CEO Jung Sung-hoon in a dynamic executive leadership team.
SMARTSCOTRE said the leadership renewal ‘underscores the company’s commitment to operational specialisation and scalable global growth’.
As part of this evolution, the company has restructured its operations into three core business pillars: B2B Golf Tech, B2C Golf Platform, and Golf Course Operation & Management (O&M).
Each division will operate with focused independence while remaining strategically aligned to support SMARTSCORE’s ambition to evolve from Korea’s domestic leader into a global golf innovation platform.
As the company boldly steps into a new era, SMARTSCORE has set ambitious financial goals for 2025, targeting US$180 million in revenue and US$36 million in EBITDA.
Over the past three years, SMARTSCORE achieved a 14.25% CAGR, with consolidated revenue rising from US$149.1 million in 2022 to US$194.8 million in 2024.
“This consistent upward trajectory reflects the company’s strong performance and growing influence in the golf tech industry,” said a SMARTSCORE spokesperson.
These goals follow a pivotal strategic transformation in 2024, when SMARTSCORE exited the distribution business to refocus on its core strengths in technology and golf platform services.
With a sharpened direction, the company is actively expanding into key international markets including the United States, Europe, Oceania, and Japan, where demand for data-driven golf management solutions continues to gain momentum.
A cornerstone of this global strategy is the imminent release of SMARTSCORE App 5.0, designed to elevate user experience and deepen digital engagement across both domestic and international markets.
Today, SMARTSCORE’s operational presence spans nearly 90% of Korea’s golf courses, a market dominance that is rapidly extending to Asia’s premier golf resorts.
The company has further strengthened its footprint in the golf course operations sector, recently securing management rights for Princess Country Club in Korea and Hokkaido Country Club in Japan.
The SMARTSCORE spokesperson said: “These milestones reinforce SMARTSCORE’s ability to deliver turnkey solutions combining advanced technology systems with integrated marketing, operational consulting, and course management services.
“Despite global headwinds in the golf industry, SMARTSCORE views this period as a landscape of opportunity. As golf operators and retailers seek smarter, more connected, and efficient solutions to stay competitive, the company believes its specialised platform and operational expertise deliver precisely the value modern golf businesses demand.”
Chairman Jung described this leadership transition as a defining milestone for the company.
He said: “This renewal and our refined business focus will empower SMARTSCORE to deliver even greater value to our partners, clients, and the broader golf industry.
“We are committed to redefining the future of golf. With this leadership team and expanded global strategy, SMARTSCORE is now perfectly positioned to lead the next wave of golf innovation.”
