St Andrews, Scotland: The R&A has unveiled the cost of the new hospitality offerings being introduced at the 2026 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, which will give fans unprecedented flexibility to move between venues across the course.
The new tiered system – which is being developed in collaboration with Two Circles and the Mike Burton Group – will feature four categories: Signature, Platinum, Premium, and Select.
The top-level Signature package will enable access to a variety of premium venues, including a chalet overlooking the 17th green, reserved grandstand seating on the 18th hole, a Q&A with a past or current player, a photo with the Claret Jug, and fast-track access to the Open Shop.
The early-bird pricing for the Signature package ranges from £2,574+VAT per person on Thursday, rising to £3,234 for the final round on Sunday.
Other tiers will offer varying degrees of access, with Select tickets, which offer access to a private area that ‘brings a relaxed festival vibe and exclusive food and beverage options while keeping you close to the on-course action’, plus a viewing platform next to the green on Royal Birkdale’s par-three fourth hole, starting at £270+VAT.
The Platinum package, which starts at £1,632 on Thursday, rising to £1,872 on Sunday, offers access to a dedicated lounge within Dunes House, which overlooks the 15th green and 16th tee, as well as a variety of dining experiences, plus entry to The Retreat, a Champagne lounge overlooking Birkdale’s par-three seventh green.
Next year’s Open Championship will also see the debut of ‘Destination’ packages, combining tickets, accommodation, tournament hospitality, and additional golf experiences for travelling fans seeking luxury and convenience.
Brett Tonkyn, Director of Premium Experiences at The R&A, said: “Our new experiences not only offer golf fans a guaranteed place at the championship, but also unparalleled access to enjoy watching the world’s best golfers compete for the iconic Claret Jug.
“Following extensive fan surveys and focus groups, we have developed a new range of packages that appeal to both golf enthusiasts wishing to enjoy an unforgettable experience of attending The Open with family and friends, as well as corporate partners wanting to network with clients and entertain them in an iconic setting.”
