Singapore: EnvoyGolf, a specialist global recruitment firm serving the golf industry, has joined the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF), further strengthening its commitment to supporting golf clubs across the Asia-Pacific region.

Founded in 2019 as a dedicated division of executive search firm Ellington Savage, EnvoyGolf brings more than 30 years of golf-specific recruitment experience to its clients.

The company provides seasonal and permanent staffing solutions, as well as executive recruitment across greenkeeping, operations and hospitality.

“Our mission is to connect golf clubs with high quality talent, wherever they are in the world,” said Mark Matehaere, Founder of EnvoyGolf.

“We’re proud to support many of Australia’s leading clubs, while also helping smaller and regional clubs access the skills and experience they need,” added Matehaere.

EnvoyGolf works with 18 of the top 20 clubs in Australasia and has built a candidate base that includes both Australasian and international professionals based across the United Kingdom, Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa.

“Increasingly, many of those based outside of Asia are actively considering Asia-based opportunities – and this is where we see the real opportunity to help develop the executive and staffing talent base among AGIF members,” said Matehaere.

EnvoyGolf’s leadership team brings over 60 years of combined experience in executive search, club management, and turf operations.

David Burton, Principal Advisor, served as General Manager of New South Wales Golf Club for 24 years and is a Life Member and Past President of Golf Management Australia. He also held senior roles with the Australian Golf Industry Council and GMA (NSW).

Cameron Campbell, Operations Manager, brings practical experience as a greenkeeper at leading clubs including The Castle Course (St Andrews Links), Royal Bled in Slovenia, and The Lakes Golf Club in Sydney. A graduate in golf management, he is also a recipient of an R&A Scholarship and BIGGA’s Continuing Professional Development Award.

Chris Gray, President of the AGIF, said: “We’re delighted to welcome EnvoyGolf to the Federation and look forward to their continued contribution to the golf industry in our region.”
