Scottsdale, Arizona, United States: Troon will partner with the Thompson Golf Group (TGG) at The Wilds Golf Club in Prior Lake, Minnesota and Geneva Golf Club in Alexandria, Minnesota.

Both The Wilds and Geneva Golf Clubs will be Troon-affiliated facilities, with the leading golf management company supporting regional and national sales and marketing efforts for these properties.

Troon and TGG have similar sales and marketing agreements in place at three of TGG’s Arizona properties – Longbow Golf Club, Dove Valley Ranch Golf Club and Power Ranch Golf Club.

As Troon-affiliated facilities, The Wilds and Geneva Golf Clubs will participate in the Troon Access programme, as well as the popular Troon Rewards and Troon Advantage programmes.

In addition, as part of a joint strategy, Troon will also identify advertising and marketing opportunities through the Troon Media Network, targeting golfers through Troon Magazine, and Troon’s digital and email marketing platforms.

“Our relationship with Troon has been incredibly valuable over the years, and we’re excited to expand that partnership with the addition of Geneva Golf Club and The Wilds,” said Managing Partner of Thompson Golf Group, Ryan Thompson.

He added: “We appreciate the quality golfers that Troon brings to our facilities and look forward to welcoming Troon Access Members to experience our two outstanding properties.

“The Wilds has been recognised as a premier club in the Metro for quite some time, while Geneva remains an undiscovered gem for many discerning golfers. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional course conditions and top-tier service, ensuring an unforgettable experience for every guest.”

Acquired by TGG in early March, The Wilds was previously recognised by Golf Digest as the number one public course in Minnesota. The facility is managed by Thompson Golf Management and serves the Prior Lake and Twin Cities metro area providing golf, weddings and corporate events.

Geneva Golf Club has been part of the Thompson Golf Group portfolio since 2000. The 27-hole facility is located in the scenic Alexandria Lakes area and is carved from the wooded terrain with a variety of trees, marshlands, and natural hazards.

Thompson Golf Group, nationally recognised for its commitment to outstanding course conditions and exceptional customer service, currently owns and/or manages seven golf properties across Arizona, Texas, and Minnesota.

“Geneva Golf Club has long been a favourite of Minnesota golfers, and now with the addition of The Wilds to TGG’s family of facilities, there’s a great one-two punch for golfers in Minneapolis-St Paul and for those travelling to the region,” said Kris Strauss, Executive Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing at Troon, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“We are excited to support the sales and marketing efforts of the Thompson Golf Group and their growing portfolio, while utilising Troon’s high-impact marketing channels and programmes to bring more golfers to the courses and the region,” added Strauss.

In addition to working with The Wilds and Geneva Golf Clubs through its partnership with TGG, Troon manages four other properties in the North Star State – Austin Country Club in Austin, Enger Park Golf Course in Duluth, Giants Ridge Golf & Ski Resort in Biwabik, and Somerby Golf Club in Byron.
