Toro Partners with TerraRad

San Diego, United States: Toro has announced a partnership with TerraRad that will lead to the introduction of a software tool for precision irrigation control.

The new Spatial Adjust software from Toro will integrate exclusively with the Toro Lynx Central Control platform. The data-driven irrigation control software allows users to automatically modify irrigation schedule based on recommended adjustments.

The new software relies on TerraRad’s turfRad smart sensors installed on Toro equipment to map soil moisture levels while you mow. The software will send the data to Lynx Central Control in real-time with colour-coded maps that indicate moisture variations.

To ensure proper irrigation customised to course needs, the software will provide individual sprinkler adjustment recommendations that can be made with the click of a button.

Toro’s Spatial Adjust software is expected to launch at the end of the year and represents a breakthrough in irrigation technology, delivering a system that eliminates the need for manual labour in moisture monitoring and sprinkler adjustments.

By automating the process, this software will not only save time but also reduce costs, while ensuring control remains in the superintendent’s hands.

The golf course management software can be set and customised for specific moisture levels, and superintendents have the control to over-ride the system if needed. The software combines data collection with integration into the Lynx Central Control platform.

“We’re incredibly proud to debut this exclusive partnership and the ground-breaking work we are doing at the 2025 GCSAA Conference and Trade Show,” said John Dalman, Senior Product Marketing Manager at Toro, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“With a fully integrated irrigation system that offers real-time moisture mapping, accurate data and easy-to-use controls, golf course superintendents can keep their turf in top shape, all while meeting sustainability goals and cutting costs,” added Dalman.
