AGS Secures Mines Agreement

Bangkok, Thailand: Absolute Golf Services (AGS) has made its breakthrough into the Malaysian market with the signing of an agreement to provide management services at The Mines Resort & Golf Club.

The agreement with the Kuala Lumpur club includes strategic oversight of the significant renovation and redevelopment plans of the facility.

“We are honoured to be part of The Mines journey, and the very significant plans for the future,” said James Shippey, Managing Director at AGS, an Associate Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

He added: “On meeting with the ownership, it was clear our values aligned, for what will be a very successful and rewarding partnership.

“It’s an exciting time for both AGS and The Mines, with big things ahead for one of Asia’s finest golf facilities.”

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, The Mines Resort & Golf Club opened for play in 1994.

Over the past 30 years, the club has hosted multiple professional tournaments on the PGA Tour and Asian Tour. It also has been the venue for the men’s World Cup of Golf in 1999, won by Tiger Woods and Mark O’Meara, and the women’s World Cup of Golf.

AGS offers flexible management and consultancy services tailored to meet owners’ objectives, both operationally and financially.
