Kuala Lumpur Return for AGIF Conference

AGIF Conf 2024

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Aligning with the richest LPGA Tour event in the region for the second year in succession, the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) Conference will return to the Malaysian capital in 2025.

Featuring a high-profile line-up of speakers, the Conference will take place on October 29-30 at the Sime Darby Convention Centre, within the grounds of the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC).

On the adjacent West Course at the KLGCC, the US$3 million Maybank Championship – featuring many of the world’s top players – will be held from October 30-November 2.

“The feedback we received from delegates at last month’s Conference has been overwhelmingly positive. There was a strong consensus from attendees to stay at the same venue, so we’re delighted to be able to confirm the dates and venue for 2025 so far in advance,” said Chris Gray, President of the AGIF.

The 2024 Conference attracted almost 100 delegates from as far afield as Australia, England, India, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, the United States, Vietnam and host country Malaysia.

Gray added: “Being presented once again with the opportunity to stage the Conference at the same venue and during the same week as one of the biggest professional golfing events on the Asian calendar was too good to pass up and we’re hopeful of bringing in a record number of delegates.

“As well as offering the chance to watch the world’s finest female golfers in action on the course, the AGIF Conference will again provide an outstanding line-up of world-class speakers and plenty of networking opportunities for delegates.

“We’re especially grateful to the Sime Darby Convention Centre and KLGCC for accommodating us. We look forward to welcoming a wide range of golf industry personnel from around the region for what promises to be another memorable week.”

Located less than 20 minutes from Kuala Lumpur city centre, the Sime Darby Convention Centre is surrounded by greenery and accessible from five major highways.

Sponsors of the 2024 AGIF Conference were Centaur Asia-Pacific, Club Car, Jebsen & Jessen, Rain Bird, Sports Turf Solutions, The R&A and Trojan Battery.
