Toyokawa, Aichi, Japan: Kyoeisha/Baroness has reached an agreement with IHI Corporation to acquire Shibaura, the turf care machinery business of IHI Agri-Tech Corporation.
Kyoeisha has been looking to enhance production capacity and expand sales and customer service to meet future domestic and international demand.
“The acquisition of IHI Agri-Tech Corporation’s turf care machinery business aligns perfectly with these goals,” said a spokesperson for Kyoeisha/Baroness.
IHI Agri-Tech Corporation, a manufacturer of turf care equipment, boasts state-of-the-art facilities, a skilled workforce, and a reputation for high-quality products both in Japan and overseas.
Recognising the strategic fit and potential for growth, Kyoeisha engaged in extensive discussions with IHI Corporation.
“Kyoeisha is proud to announce the final agreement for its acquisition of IHI Agri-Tech Corporation’s turf care machinery business. This acquisition is expected to enhance product and service value while supporting the expansion of Kyoeisha’s business,” said the spokesperson.
Headquartered in Tokyokawa, Aichi Prefecture, Kyoeisha develops, manufactures and sells turf care equipment primarily for golf courses and sports fields.
With more than 100 years in business, Kyoeisha has earned accolades for its high-quality products both domestically and internationally.
Currently, Kyoeisha leads the turf care equipment industry in the development and sales of autonomous mowers. The company exports its products to more than 30 countries and aims to continue expanding its global presence.
