Scottsdale, Arizona, United States: Troon has announced the appointment of Jimmy Dunne to its Board of Directors effective immediately.

Dunne is Vice Chairman and Senior Managing Principal of Piper Sandler, an investment bank and financial services company. A former member of the PGA Tour’s policy board, he is based in West Palm Beach, Florida and serves as President of Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach.

After graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in economics, Dunne began his career on Wall Street working at LF Rothschild and later Bear Stearns.

He was a co-founder of Sandler O’Neill & Partners, which was acquired by Piper Sandler in 2020. Under his leadership, Sandler O’Neill grew to become the largest independent full-service investment banking firm focused on the financial services sector.

Over the past three decades, he has advised on some of the financial industry’s largest M&A transactions. In addition to serving on Troon’s Board of Directors, Dunne currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at the University of Notre Dame, and is a Board member of American International Group, Inc (AIG) and Chime Financial, Inc.

Troon, a global leader in golf and hospitality management, started as one facility in 1990 and has since grown to become the world’s largest professional club management company.

The company provides services to more than 900 locations while also managing various amenities, such as racquet sports, aquatics, fitness, food and beverage, lodging and more.

In recent years, Troon has continued to grow organically while at the same time expanding its service offerings and increasing its management capabilities through multiple acquisitions. Since 2014, Troon has completed 14 acquisitions, including 12 since 2018.
