Bangkok, Thailand: Sports Turf Solutions (STS) is on track for a record-breaking year, with major new facilities trusting in the organisation that delivers the finest species of turf for some of the continent’s best-known developers and developments.

The announcement comes on the heels of a wave of new contracts and a growing pipeline from clients seeking the assurances STS provides through the provision of best-in-class delivery and turf performance.

“The market place continues to evolve, with more and more properties understanding the importance of turf selection,” said Brad Burgess, Managing Partner of STS, a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

He added: “We are seeing a greater understanding and appreciation of how our client base are approaching the selection process, with more and more decisions being data and performance-driven.

“We have more turf farms, with more species under constant surveillance across more markets than ever before, giving us access to unmatched data that is providing greater insights for our clients. This is not only leading to far greater performance through sustainable delivery, but is unlocking major cost savings through far more efficient management.”

Having passed the half-way mark of 2024, STS has highlighted a selection of its most recent partnerships, propelling the company towards a record-breaking year.

Burgess said: “It’s important we work in partnership with all our clients to ensure the delivery of all of STS products and services stands out. We have been in business for almost 20 years now and I can confidently say we are well on our way to a record year.

“It’s testament to the hard work and commitment of our team, but I believe also due to a greater acknowledgement amongst key decision makers that decisions made around turf selection and integration have never been more important – from both an environmental and economical standpoint.”

In 2024, STS has been involved with more than 50 grassing projects. Among them are:

  • Bac Giang (Vietnam): Designed by Brian Curley, using Zeon Zoysia and Tif Eagle Bermuda grasses.
  • Corn Hill Golf Club (Luc Nam, Vietnam): The first 27-hole facility in Northern Vietnam, designed by Brett Mogg, using Tif Tuf and Tif Eagle Bermuda grasses.

  • Văn Lang Empire T&T Golf Club (Phu Tho, Vietnam): Designed by Greg Norman, using Zeon Zoysia for tees, fairways, and roughs, and Tif Eagle Bermuda for greens.

In addition to these projects, STS is actively engaged in 17 other green conversion projects, reflecting the company’s rapid expansion and growing influence in the region.

STS New Turf Farm
STS is constructing new turf farms in Southeast Asia.

While continuing to strengthen and expand its presence in established markets like Thailand and Vietnam, STS is also constructing new turf farms in Malaysia and the Philippines.

The goal is to provide new varieties of certified turf, such as Lynkz Zoysia, while expanding the existing varieties to meet demand with each turf farm playing an important role in striving to meet the standards expected by clients and partners.

Burgess said an unwavering commitment to the company philosophy around quality assurance and customer satisfaction, combined with a blend of industry-leading, advanced technology and expertise, remains at the heart of the success of STS.

“By committing to modern practices and adopting innovative techniques, Sports Turf Solutions has become one of the market’s most dynamic contributors to the environment and continues to positively hit new industry standards,” he said.
