Quang Nam, Vietnam: Hoiana Resort & Golf has appointed Melvyn Boey as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), bringing expertise in strategic financial initiatives and operational efficiency.
In his new role, Boey will be responsible for leading the resort’s financial strategy and operations, driving growth and operational excellence.
His appointment aligns with Hoiana’s mission to deliver exceptional guest experiences and advance Vietnam’s hospitality industry.
Home to a Robert Trent Jones Jnr 18-hole links-style course that boasts views of the Eastern Sea and Cham Islands, Hoiana Shores Golf Club hosted a Progression Course for the Asian Golf Industry Federation’s acclaimed Certificate in Greenkeeping programme in February.
Hoiana Shores Golf Club is part of the Hoiana Integrated Resort.
Boey has held diverse leadership roles in equity research, corporate finance, and hospitality-related sectors in his more than 25-year career during which he’s demonstrated an ability to enhance revenue and optimise expenses.
Boey spent almost eight years at Resorts World Sentosa. As Senior Vice President, he helped navigate the company through the Covid-19 pandemic, by executing business re-orientation and cost optimisation programmes.
Before his transition into the hospitality industry, Boey worked with investment banks and institutions, including Schroders, JP Morgan and Bank of America.
“We are thrilled to welcome Melvyn Boey to Hoiana. His expertise in financial management and strategic planning will be instrumental as we continue to elevate our operations and drive growth in the hospitality industry,” said Steve Wolstenholme, President and CEO of Hoiana Resort & Golf.
Boey will oversee the resort’s financial operations, spearhead strategic financial planning initiatives, and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
