Front Seat for Club Car at China Showpiece

Shenzhen, China: Club Car will once more be to the fore when the 29th edition of the Volvo China Open tees-off next month.

To be held at Shenzhen’s Hidden Grace Golf Club from May 3-5, Club Car has been confirmed as one of the sponsors of the DP World Tour event.

At the event, Club Car will provide a number of utility vehicles and shuttle buses for the use of players, tournament staff and event guests.

“Congratulations to the DP World Tour on the return of the Volvo China Open. As one of the highest-level golf events in China, it will provide golf enthusiasts with an extraordinary experience and will further promote this attractive sport to more people,” said Renee Xu, Vice President, Asia-Pacific, Club Car, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

Xu added: “As the world’s leading manufacturer of golf, utility and personal transportation vehicles, Club Car has been in co-operation with the DP World Tour for more than 20 years. Both parties are highly consistent in pursuing excellence in quality and are committed to the promotion and development of the sport of golf.”

Gilbert Ji, Project Director of the Volvo China Open, said: “Club Car is constantly striving for excellence in the design, manufacture and assembly of its carts, and its products have been consistently trusted by organisations such as the DP World Tour.

“We believe that with Club Car’s strong support, every guest and staff member at the Volvo China Open will be able to enjoy a premium and safe driving experience.”

In action at the Nelson & Haworth-sculpted Hidden Grace Golf Club will be Club Car’s cart series, including Tempo, Transporter, Carryall and Villager, undertaking multiple tasks including transporting passengers and materials around the venue.

Meanwhile, the C300 model will serve as a mobile medical support vehicle for the tournament, providing medical support services including first aid to golfers, staff, guests, and spectators, if required.

Club Car has been an official supplier of the DP World Tour since 1999, providing a comprehensive total solution for event operations and logistics.

“This partnership with the Volvo China Open is an important milestone in the renewed co-operation between the two parties and demonstrates Club Car’s unshakable leading position in the golf field,” said a spokesperson for Club Car.
