Seoul, Korea: Smartscore and Meissa Group have announced an alliance aimed at ‘revolutionising the international golf industry’.
“In a strategic agreement signed this week, we’re set to bring Meissa’s cutting-edge turf management solution, MeissaGreen, to overseas golf courses using Smartscore’s solution,” said Yeom In-wook, Chief Executive Officer at Smartscore Global, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
Already adopted by more than 40 international golf courses, Smartscore solution is poised for further expansion in 2024, with MeissaGreen accelerating this growth.
MeissaGreen, utilising optical drones for real-time turf monitoring, not only boosts golf course management efficiency and cumulates the database of overall golf course condition, but also offers time and labour savings.
This collaboration spans six Asian countries – Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
Yeom said he anticipates a significant impact on both companies’ influence and dependence in the international golf market by providing innovative services to overseas golf course partners.
“This partnership not only opens up new business opportunities but is expected to bring revolutionary changes to the golf industry, enhancing efficiency and providing a superior golfing experience,” said Yeom.
A Korean company founded in 2015, Smartscore Global is one of the most progressive and fastest-growing technology companies in golf.
Smartscore Global enjoys over 75 per cent penetration of Korean golf courses and reaches more than 3.4 million golfers in the Land of the Morning Calm.
