Scottsdale, Arizona, United States: Troon has been selected to manage Woodbridge Golf & Country Club, a private facility located in California outside of Sacramento.
Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, will manage golf and club operations, food and beverage, golf course agronomy, and membership marketing.
“We are very excited to partner with the membership of Woodbridge Golf & Country Club,” said Justin Lake, Director, Operations, Troon, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
“Our Troon Privé team is focused on elevating standards across all areas of the club to enhance the member experience and to deliver the very best to Woodbridge members and guests,” he added.
Woodbridge Golf & Country Club was founded in 1924 and today includes 27 holes of golf, including the River, Middle and Lake nine-hole courses.
The first six holes opened for play in June 1924 and by 1926, the course expanded to nine holes. In 1952, another 12 holes were developed north of the Mokelumne River and combined with six of the original first holes to make Woodbridge a complete 18-hole course.
Nine additional holes were designed by architect Bert Stamps in 1979 and opened in September of that year.
In addition to golf, Woodbridge members enjoy a 4,000 square-foot fitness centre; a racquet sports facility with six tennis courts and two pickleball courts; a swim facility; and complete golf and tennis pro shops.
The clubhouse features a café as well as a main dining room and banquet facilities.
“The Woodbridge Board is always striving to make the membership experience better for members and this association with Troon is another example of that on-going commitment,” said Woodbridge Golf & Country Club Board President Cody Diede.
“Troon Privé’s expertise and vast resources will provide an elevated experience for members and their guests,” added Diede.
