‘Bar Raised on Vietnam’s Golfing Landscape’

Nha Trang, Vietnam: The European Legends Tour has jointly announced a partnership with Vietnam Global Sport (VGS) for a new addition to the 2023 tournament schedule, the Vinpearl VGS Legends Championship Vietnam.

The US$1 million tournament, taking place from December 1-3, will be played at Vinpearl Nha Trang – an entertainment and sea exploration complex nestled in the coastal city of Nha Trang.

The Vinpearl VGS Legends Championship Vietnam 2023 marks another milestone for Vietnam’s golf industry, blending sport with business opportunities, strengthening trade partnership between the two countries.

As the first Asian promoter for The Legends Tour, VGS Group aims to use the Tour’s platform to elevate Vietnam’s golf status globally. 

The partnership between VGS Group and The Legends Tour will add a touch of sport diplomacy to the 50-year diplomatic relations of Vietnam and the United Kingdom this year.

Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, President of VGS Group, said the company that was founded in 2016 is committed to nurturing a long-term connection with The Legends Tour, European Tour Group.

Tuan said: “The handshake between VGS Group and the European Legends Tour is merely the first step in our partnership.

“The tournament has its unique format, allowing amateurs a chance to play alongside legendary golfers, appeals to a high-net-worth audience.
