Scottsdale, Arizona, United States: Troon has been selected to manage Raintree Country Club, a private facility located in North Carolina.

Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, will manage golf and club operations, food and beverage, golf course agronomy, and membership marketing.

Raintree Country Club features 36 holes of golf, including the 6,600-yard North Course and the 7,000-yard South Course. Both courses were designed by architect Russell Breeden and opened for play in 1971.

The North Course, which winds through hills and tall trees, hosted the Symetra Classic for five years from 2012-2016. The South Course is beautifully landscaped with water coming into play on more than half the holes.

An elevated tee shot on the South’s par-four 10th hole features views of the Charlotte skyline in the fall and winter months.

“Our Troon Privé team is excited to partner with the members of Raintree Country Club,” said Dana Schultz, Director of Operations, Troon, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“Charlotte is a competitive private club market. We are focused on elevating the member experience and the club’s facilities, while also leading the strategic planning for sustained growth and success,” added Schultz.

Raintree Country Club President Jay Herring said: “Troon is an industry leader in the management of private clubs and that really stood out in the competitive search process.

“We are excited to partner with Troon to support Raintree in continuing to enhance the member experience and implement our long-term strategy for the future.”

Raintree’s Tennis Complex has nine lighted tennis courts, five clay and four hard surface, as well as a fully stocked pro shop with a large and varied collection of tennis clothing and gear.

The club’s Swim Complex includes a 25-metre swimming pool with a slide and diving board, as well as a kiddie pool area and a snack bar located poolside.

Raintree’s state-of-the-art Fitness Centre has cardio and nautilus equipment and a variety of classes.

Raintree’s main clubhouse includes The Lakeside Grill, providing members with casual fine dining for lunch and dinner, as well as the comfortable 37th Hole. The club’s banquet facilities are suitable for hosting large elegant parties, small casual affairs or business meetings.
