Faldo Design’s Sustainable Commitment

Faldo GEO

North Berwick, Scotland: Award-winning golf course design group Faldo Design has taken a further leadership step in sustainable golf development by strengthening its collaboration with GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf, the international non-profit dedicated to advancing sustainability in and through golf.

Following its recent successful collaboration at the GEO Certified Development of Rumanza Golf & Country Club in Multan, Pakistan, Faldo Design has solidified a long-term agreement with GEO to seek the same sustainable golf development certification at their future Sir Nick Faldo Signature course projects.

The move will see both organisations collaborating to deliver the most sustainable golf courses possible at future Sir Nick Faldo Signature projects – creating authentic, quality golf that maximises efficiencies and generates more positive impacts.

“It is important to me and everyone at Faldo Design to continue to work closely with GEO to help ensure that a real sustainable approach remains an integral part of our overall design thinking for our clients,” said Sir Nick Faldo, Chairman, Faldo Design, an Associate Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“The collaboration thus far has been very productive and we look forward to working together with GEO on our highest profile projects right across the globe,” he added.

Sam Thomas, Sustainable Golf – Developments Director, said: “This closer collaboration is a great natural extension of the work we have both done together over the last four or five years and we want to thank the team for making this real leadership statement for sustainable golf development.

“The projects with the Faldo Design team have always been fun, open and very forward thinking. We’re proud of what we have achieved so far together and excited to see where how much further we can go on the next projects.”

There are already multiple new Sir Nick Faldo Signature projects that will be part of this new collaboration in Asia and the Middle East, which will be playing their part to showcase sustainable golf development in more unique and spectacular destinations.
