Scottsdale, Arizona, United States: Team Troon member Matthew Fitzpatrick has been congratulated on his win at the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links by Troon’s 35,000-plus associates.

Fitzpatrick beat Jordan Spieth on the third play-off hole to win the storied tournament, his second win on the PGA Tour following last summer’s United States Open championship at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Team Troon is a collection of top international golf talent representing the Troon brand throughout professional golf.

Englishman Fitzpatrick is joined on Team Troon by PGA Tour golfers Justin Thomas, Gary Woodland, Matt Kuchar and Bubba Watson of the United States, Alex Noren of Sweden, PGA Tour Champions golfer and World Golf Hall of Famer Colin Montgomerie of Scotland, LPGA Tour/Ladies European Tour player Cheyenne Woods and LPGA golfer Yealimi Noh.

“Congratulations to Matthew on his exciting play-off victory at the RBC Heritage,” said Tim Schantz, President and CEO of Troon, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“Matthew’s nine-iron on the third play-off hole to within inches was one of the great shots in tournament history and illustrated his grit and calmness under pressure,” he added.

Fellow Team Troon members Kuchar, Thomas and Woodland finished tied 19th, tied 25th, and tied 31st respectively at the RBC Heritage.

The RBC Heritage victory is extra special for Fitzpatrick and his family as Hilton Head Island and the South Carolina Lowcountry have been a favourite vacation spot for the family since 2000.
