Scottsdale, Arizona, United States: CADDIEMASTER, together with parent company Troon and the Western Golf Association/Evans Scholars Foundation, have established an Endowed Named Scholarship for caddies seeking a college education.

Bella Luna Carl, a former caddie at Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, is the first recipient of the Scholarship and is currently in her first year at Ohio State University.

CADDIEMASTER and Troon will continue to donate to the Endowed Named Scholarship fund to help caddies receive a college education.

The Evans Scholars Foundation awards full tuition and housing college scholarships to high-achieving caddies with limited financial means. It is America’s largest scholarship programme for caddies.

The Endowed Evans Scholarship provides US$25,000 per year for room and board at a university of the recipient’s choosing. The Western Golf Association provides over 300 Endowed Scholarships.

The Western Golf Association, headquartered in Glenview, Illinois, has supported the Chick Evans Scholarship Programme through the Evans Scholars Foundation since 1930.

Known as one of golf’s favourite charities, it is America’s largest scholarship programme for caddies. Currently, a record 1,100 caddies are enrolled at 22 universities across America as Evans Scholars, and more than 11,800 caddies have graduated as Evans Scholars since the programme was founded by famed Chicago amateur golfer Charles ‘Chick’ Evans Jr.

Scholarship funds come mostly from contributions by nearly 36,000 supporters across the country, who are members of the Evans Scholars Par Club programme.

Evans Scholars Alumni donate more than US$15 million annually, and all proceeds from the BMW Championship, the penultimate PGA Tour Play-off event in the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup competition, are donated to the Evans Scholars Foundation.

In 2023, the BMW Championship will be held at Olympia Fields Country Club in Illinois, from August 17-20.

CADDIEMASTER is the leading provider of caddie services in the world, managing over 3,000 caddies and 100 managers in 24 states and three countries.

CADDIEMASTER partners with private clubs and top resorts to provide a result-oriented asset for members and guests to enjoy. Caddies and forecaddies are club ambassadors and play an important role in course maintenance and pace of play.
