London, England: The European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGCA) has appointed Lindsey Collumbell as Executive Officer.

Collumbell replaces Julia Green, who spent 22 years in the role.

Collumbell, who took on the Executive Officer position on July 1, following seven years as the Institute’s PR and Marketing Consultant, said: “It is an honour to be appointed as Executive Officer and to continue my involvement with the EIGCA.

“I want to ensure the Institute and its members are highly regarded in the world of golf and am making collaboration with the wider golf industry a priority. Golf course architects are key players in the successful future of golf and an important element of my new role will be to strengthen relationships with other organisations and explore how we can work together for mutual benefit.

“I relish the opportunity to build on the strong foundations laid by Julia since the Institute began in 2000. I look forward to leading the EIGCA with enthusiasm, excitement and a determination to deliver an Institute that the members and partners deserve and are proud to be a part of.”

Tim Lobb, EIGCA President, said: “We are thrilled that Lindsey is our new Executive Officer. After seven years as our PR and Marketing Consultant, Lindsey knows the Institute and EIGCA community well.

“She has considerable experience of the membership sector and will take us to the next level of our development and professional representation.

“Whilst we are excited about Lindsey starting in this role, we are sad to lose Julia, who was with EIGCA since its inception in 2000. On behalf of EIGCA’s members and partners, I want to take this opportunity to congratulate Julia on a wonderful career leading the EIGCA.

“Without her, the Institute would not be where it is today. We are eternally grateful for her passion, intelligence and hard work for the past 22 years.”
