Scottsdale, Arizona, United States: Troon has been selected to manage the golf operations at Eagle Crest Resort in Redmond, Oregon.

Troon Golf, the resort and daily-fee management division of Troon, will oversee golf operations, agronomy, and sales and marketing for the resort’s two 18-hole par 72 courses, 18-hole executive course, and the 18-hole putting course.

Eagle Crest Resort is located in the high desert of Central Oregon and is set against the backdrop of the Cascade Mountains.

The Gene Mason-designed Resort Course is adjacent to the resort and runs along the rim of the Deschutes River Canyon and throughout the original Eagle Crest housing development. The 18-hole course plays to a par of 72 and measures 6,704 yards from the back tees.

The John Thronson-designed Ridge Course measures 6,927 yards as it threads its way through native juniper trees. The Ridge Course will host the Oregon Open Invitational, the State’s championship open to both amateur and professional golfers, in 2023. The course previously hosted the event in 2006.

The executive-length, par-63 Challenge Course is popular with beginners as it covers 4,160 yards. All three courses are open year-round, weather permitting.

“Eagle Crest Resort is a wonderful addition to the Troon family of managed clubs,” said Darrell Morgan, Vice President Operations, Troon, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“The resort’s location is breathtaking, the courses are very good and the property is spectacular. We will look to further elevate the golf experience at Eagle Crest from improved course conditions to enhanced service levels for resort guests and daily-fee players,” added Morgan.

Eagle Crest is a full-service destination resort located just outside the city of Redmond on 1,700 acres. Nestled against the majestic Cascade Mountains, about 15 minutes from Bend, Eagle Crest boasts over 300 days of sunshine each year with an annual rainfall of fewer than nine inches.

The resort has two-to-four-bedroom vacation home rentals, a spa, three sports centres, and five pools. The resort is managed by Ambridge Hospitality.

“As we take Eagle Crest to the next level in terms of service-levels, course conditions and marketing, Troon was the obvious choice to serve as our management company,” said Eagle Crest Resort Owner Dr Kiran Patel.

“Troon is the premier management organisation in the golf industry. Their expertise and resources will help ensure that Eagle Crest delivers an exceptional experience for golfers.”
