Augusta, Georgia, United States: Club Car, a global leader in golf, consumer and utility vehicles, is showcasing its industry leading, second-generation Tempo Lithium-ion vehicle, Tempo Walk autonomous caddie and connectivity solutions at this week’s PGA Show.
In June of 2021, Club Car became a standalone company under new ownership. This transition has heightened Club Car’s growth-minded approach and dedication to the golf business, including a focus on increasing investments in its people and operations.
“We are investing for the resurgence and growth the golf industry has seen over the past two years by investing in you,” said Mark Wagner, President of Club Car, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation. “We are continuously looking for new ways to support operators and customers in the future, which has a very healthy outlook.”
The second-generation Tempo Lithium-ion vehicle, which has experienced tremendous growth since it launched in 2020, will be on display at the PGA Show. The all-new battery system boasts industry-leading range in a zero-maintenance package, ensuring golf course operators have confidence in the single-charge range while reducing their total cost of ownership.
Throughout the pandemic, the golf industry had to react to Covid-19 and the social distancing requirements. Club Car’s Tempo Walk became a big success for golf course operators by adding a unique golfer experience and new revenue opportunity; the stylish, hands-free caddie has allowed golfers to enjoy the game in a new way.
PGA Show attendees were able to try the Tempo Walk out first-hand at yesterday’s Demo Days at the Orange County National Golf Centre.
Demand by operators for features like car control and connected, in-car entertainment has also grown. Club Car Connect has seen solid growth in cars being equipped with GPS connectivity and in-car entertainment through the Shark Experience; which experienced a major software overhaul in June of 2021.
Club Car will also be showcasing a refresh of its fleet golf line-up (Booth #3631), including a new premium windshield, new colours and more standard features like USB charging port and soft grip steering wheel.
Club Car is also continuing its title sponsorship of the Club Car Championship at The Landings Club. “Now in our second year, we have enhanced the event in partnership with the PGA Tour,” said Wagner. “The Club Car Championship at The Landings Club allows us to showcase our Onward line of consumer vehicles within The Landings Club, the greater Savannah area and to all the fans of the PGA Tour.”
For more than 60 years Club Car has been an integral part of the game of golf. As the official golf car of the PGA of America, TPC Network, and US Kids Golf, Club Car is active in a wide variety of grow the game initiatives and industry partnerships.
