Phang Nga, Thailand: A one-year golf club membership is up for grabs in Aquella Golf & Country Club’s enticing pre-opening ‘Hole-in-One Challenge’.
The latest addition to Thailand’s golfing landscape, the Pacific Coast Design-sculpted layout is situated on the Andaman coastline in the Thai Mueang district of Phang Nga Province.
“The Hole-in-One Challenge is part of paving the way towards our official grand opening,” said a spokesperson for Aquella Golf & Country Club, a Facility Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
The offer is applicable at the club’s signature par-three 11th hole, which measures 166 yards from the white tees.
The club spokesperson said: “This hole presents golfers with a memorable and picturesque view as a backdrop, with the hole featuring large bunkers decorated with vintage railway sleepers, which are strategically placed in front of the green.
“Golfers will be mesmerised by the turquoise green colour of the Andaman Sea in the background behind the large angulated green, the sound of the crashing waves and the freshness of the sea breeze. The wind switches directions throughout the day giving golfers plenty of challenge.”
The first golfer to score a ‘Hole-in-One’ at the 11th will win a 12-month golf club membership, valued at almost THB100,000.
The challenge will remain open through December 31 or until the first ace is recorded.
During the club’s trial period, a special green fee package is available at THB1,650 for residents and THB1,750 for guests (fees inclusive of 18-hole green fee, caddie fee, Visage GPS golf cart and one complimentary tray of range balls).
