Juniors’ Joy at Club Car Grow the Game Initiative

Augusta, Georgia, United States: Club Car has announced a donation of Ryder Cup tickets to the PGA Junior League, Drive Chip and Putt and the Wisconsin PGA Tournament Series to allow junior golfers to enjoy a day at the Ryder Cup with a family member and enhance the excitement of the match.

“We are excited to donate Ryder Cup tickets to these grow the game initiatives” said Mark Rickell, Vice President of Sales – Americas at Club Car, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“At Club Car, golf is at the heart of what we do and we are always looking for ways to grow the game. Donating Ryder Cup tickets does just that,” he added.

Club Car continues its involvement in the Ryder Cup by supplying the Ryder Cup Captains cars. Throughout the matches, Club Car’s Onward vehicle will be seen carrying the competitors and captains. Club Car also supplies the utility vehicles, transportation and other support vehicles for tournament operations at Whistling Straits.

For over 60 years Club Car has been an integral part of the game of golf and is active in a wide variety of grow the game initiatives and industry partnerships. The donation of the Ryder Cup tickets continues Club Car’s investment in the game of golf and its deep relationship with the PGA of America and its 41 Sections.

PGA Jr League is the flagship youth programme of the PGA of America’s foundation, PGA REACH. The aim is to make PGA Jr League accessible to all children everywhere, regardless of circumstance.

Drive, Chip and Putt is an initiative founded in 2013 by The Masters Tournament, United States Golf Association and the PGA of America. Drive, Chip and Putt is a free nationwide junior golf development competition aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf.

Lastly, the Wisconsin PGA Tournament Series is an initiative of the Wisconsin PGA Section with over 500 members and associates, stretching from areas in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to almost the entire state of Wisconsin. Annually, the Wisconsin Section conducts over 40 professional events, operates its Junior Golf Foundation and participates in several growth-of-the-game activities (PGA Junior League, Drive, Chip and Putt and instructional clinics/days).
