The European Ryder Cup team will once more be able to rely on Club Car for the 2023 encounter in Rome.

London, England: Ryder Cup Europe and Club Car have extended their long-running association, which will see the industry leader in small-wheel electric vehicles provide a fleet for Team Europe at the 2023 Ryder Cup in Italy.

Club Car will be an Official Supplier for the seventh consecutive Ryder Cup played on European soil, continuing a relationship which began at the 1997 Ryder Cup at Valderrama in Spain.

Following this year’s contest at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin in September, the Ryder Cup will be held on Italian soil for the first time in the event’s history in two years’ time, at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome.

Club Car will provide Ryder Cup Europe with more than 600 cars to transport rules officials, television production teams and staging staff to ensure a seamless staging of the biennial contest.

The European Captain, along with his Vice Captains, will receive a number of specially-equipped and branded vehicles for their respective teams.

“We are extremely proud to have played a part in the phenomenal growth of the Ryder Cup since 1997 and look forward to continuing that strong association as it returns to Continental Europe in 2023,” said Marco Natale, Vice President EMEA for Club Car, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“The iconic red and blue captains’ cars are synonymous with the Ryder Cup and are instantly recognised by golf fans, and behind the scenes there are hundreds more Club Cars ensuring the successful delivery of one of the largest and highest-profile sporting events in the world,” added Natale.

Guy Kinnings, Ryder Cup Director, European Tour Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer, said: “We are proud of our strong and long-running relationship with Club Car, one of the most respected brands in golf, and we are delighted to have them as part of our team again at the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome.

“Their history and expertise with this unique event means they are perfectly placed to understand the demands of our teams on site, delivering crucial services for the build, staging and team, all of which are hugely important to the success of the Ryder Cup.”
