St Andrews, Scotland: GEO Foundation, the international non-profit dedicated to helping advance sustainability in and through golf, has appointed Roddy Williams as Director, Professional Golf Engagement and Communications.
Williams brings a wealth of experience from two decades working in a variety of senior digital, content and communications roles with the European Tour and Ryder Cup during which he oversaw an award-winning digital content team and led the editorial coverage of the last 10 Ryder Cups.
He will take responsibility for supporting GEO Foundation’s partnerships with professional Tours, tournaments, players and other stakeholders to grow engagement, advocacy and communications and celebrate sustainability actions and results.
Williams said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for me to join the GEO Foundation team at such a pivotal time and I look forward to working with our partners across the professional game and helping them in achieving their sustainability goals.
“Golf has an influential leadership role among sports at the forefront of the sustainability movement in championing the positive impacts of fostering nature, conserving resources, strengthening communities and taking climate action. I am very much looking forward to the future and what can be achieved together.”
