Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Nesma Trading, among the most highly recognised and diversified companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has joined the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF).
A wholly-owned subsidiary of Nesma Holding, Nesma Trading was established in 2004 as the trading and support services arm of the group for the oil and gas industry. With its headquarters in Al-Khobar Saudi Arabia, Nesma Trading provides high quality services in diverse sectors.
“Our goal is to exceed the expectations of every client by offering outstanding customer service, product quality second to none, increased flexibility, and greater value,” said Dr Marwan Gholmieh, Chief Executive Officer, Nesma Trading.
Nesma Trading operates through Strategic Business Divisions with activities in various segments of the industry. Its core business activities include construction, facility management, technical systems, catering, events management, business ventures, travel and tourism, and trading of building material.
“What ties all of our divisions together is our commitment to our core values: integrity, fairness, innovation, quality, continuous development and a sense of competitive challenge. Guided and empowered by these core values, Nesma Trading is dedicated to bringing to life diverse business ideas and innovative solutions,” said Dr Gholmieh.
Under its Landscaping Division, Nesma Trading has been involved with the design and construction of golf courses in the Kingdom. It has recently set up a new Golf Construction division, joint venturing with fellow AGIF member Green Dynasty Pte Ltd from Singapore, to deliver world-class golf construction and maintenance services.
Dr Gholmieh said: “We are delighted to engage with a company that has a proven track record in delivering world-class, award-winning facilities. Combined with our existing resources, we intend to lead the way in building the future of golf in Saudi Arabia.”
Dr Gholmieh added that the company has consistently carried on with the implementation of a ‘Saudization Programme’ that enables young Saudis to grow and develop their careers within Nesma Trading’s work environment while also maintaining their work-life balance.
To that end, Nesma Trading will investigate the concept of setting up of a programme for the training of Saudi nationals for the Certificate in Greenkeeping, which has been developed by the AGIF and is supported by The R&A.
Eric Lynge, the AGIF’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “Nesma Trading continues to grow and widen the scope of its services and products by working closely with local and international suppliers and strategic business partners in an effort to embrace change, explore new opportunities and better cater to the emerging needs of a growing client base in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“As an Executive Member of the Federation, we look forward to working closely with Dr Gholmieh and his team on a variety of exciting opportunities, including the development of Saudi talent in the vital fields of greenkeeping and groundskeeping.”
