London, England: Golfplan-designed Chee Chan Golf Resort was among six IMG clubs honoured at the World Golf Awards.
Situated on 550 rai of land in a stunning location next to the famed Chee Chan Buddha Mountain near Pattaya, Chee Chan, which opened in 2018 and was sculpted by David Dale, was named Thailand’s Best Course.
Other IMG clubs to win accolades were Ba Na Hills Golf Club (Vietnam’s Best Course and Asia’s Best Golf Course); Dreamland Golf Club (Azerbaijan’s Best Golf Course); Royal Bled (Slovenia’s Best Golf Course) and Zala Springs Golf Resort (Hungary’s Best Golf Course).
“We are very proud of the high-quality clubs that we have in our global portfolio, and for IMG clubs to receive top honours in six awards categories is outstanding, and a testament to the incredible commitment of our partners at each club,” said Paul Burley, Senior Vice President, IMG Golf Course Services, an Associate Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
Opened in 2016 and designed by Luke Donald in association with IMG, Ba Na Hills Golf Club in Danang is also managed by IMG.
Zala Springs Golf Resort won Hungary’s Best Golf Course for the second consecutive year. The resort is recognised as offering a prime golf experiences and has a memorable location close to Lake Balaton, the largest freshwater lake in Central Europe.
