Singapore: The Golf Group Asia, a unique partnership of leading golf development and management consultants, is offering pro bono advice to golf clubs around the region that are easing their way out of the Coronavirus lockdown.

“As the golf industry exits the Covid-19 pandemic every owner, operator, club manager and management executive has plans and ideas they want to implement,” said Chris Wootten, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Golf Group, an Associate Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

Wootten said challenges and concerns will undoubtedly be evident in most club developments and operations, with the immediate task now being to address these in the most appropriate manner possible.

“Numerous opportunities exist, which deserve to be identified and realised,” he added. “However, sometimes we’re not sure if an idea is as great as it appears, whether it’s the right one, or if that problem is anything at all. Equally, we wonder, is that idea and opportunity feasible, and can I improve upon the planning?”

To assist clubs with planning and identifying opportunities, Wootten, Brad Burgess (Director, Agronomy & Course Development) and the team at The Golf Group are encouraging clubs to run their thoughts, concerns, ideas and plans by their specialist neutral resources.
