Sandhurst, Victoria, Australia: Golf Genius has continued to develop its international network in a new four-year partnership with the PGA of Australia and its Volkswagen Scramble series.

The partnership will see Golf Genius manage Australia’s leading amateur event, the Volkswagen Scramble, which has seen in excess of one million golfers take part across more than 25 years of operation.

From July 2020, all Volkswagen Scramble local, regional and championship final tournaments will be powered through Golf Genius’ tournament management software, aligning the organisation with many of the game’s leaders across the Asia-Pacific region and around the globe.

“It is great to be aligning the world’s leading golf tournament management software with Australia’s largest and most successful team golf event,” said Peter Shaw, Director of Sales, Golf Genius Software, a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“Working to ensure successful delivery of the event with the PGA team, as well as seeing an improved customer experience for players and event hosts, we are excited about the next four years,” he added.

Stuart Hergt, Chief Operating Officer of the PGA of Australia, said: “The PGA and Volkswagen Scramble are pleased to partner with Golf Genius as we approach the start of the 2020/2021 season. As technology has evolved so has the Volkswagen Scramble and its systems. We are excited to go on a new journey with Peter and his team this year with the aim of delivering our users a streamlined, easy to use platform.”

Volkswagen Scramble will launch an online portal for all host venues and their PGA Professionals that will feature helpful information on the programme in addition to 24/7 online support.

Golf Genius, together with the PGA, will also provide clubs with a webinar series dedicated to outlining the programme and providing users with best practice tips for ease of use and administration.

Trusted by the United States Golf Association and operating in more than 45 countries worldwide, the Golf Genius product has saved time and eliminated hassle for players, tournament organisers and sponsors.

The cloud-based service combines the best features of the traditional golf experience with highly innovative cloud-based and mobile technology, which adds up to better user experience for players, administrators and fans of the sport.

Mike Zisman, President and Co-CEO of Golf Genius, said: “We are continuing to grow our global footprint as the leader in tournament management and welcome the Volkswagen Scramble and PGA of Australia to our growing customer base.”
