Bangkok, Thailand: Absolute Golf Services (AGS) has signed a long-term management contract with Aquella Golf & Country Club, which includes the pre-opening phase of the project.

Aquella Golf & Country Club is among Thailand’s most eagerly-anticipated luxury residential golf resort and country clubs, located along the pristine Andaman Sea coastline in Phang Nga-Phuket. The signing marks the continued growth in the portfolio of managed facilities in Asia for AGS, an Associate Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF).

Measuring more than 7,000 yards and offering panoramic views of the Andaman Sea, Aquella Golf & Country Club’s 18-hole course aims to set new standards of golf course conditioning and operational excellence for the region.

The 1.8 million square metre site has been master-planned and designed by Hong Kong-based developer Pacific Century Premium Developments (PCPD), in conjunction with clubhouse architects Paradise Designs, and Australian-based golf course architects Pacific Coast Design (PCD).

An Associate Business Member of the AGIF, PCD has sculpted a selection of outstanding courses in Thailand, including Hua Hin’s Black Mountain Golf Club and Bangkok’s Alpine Golf and Sports Club, as well as the redesign of Thana City Country Club, on the outskirts of Bangkok.

The new project will combine residential plots, hotels, marina, beach club and country club. The golf course that forms the heart of the project commenced construction in late 2018 and is expected to be completed towards the end of 2020.

The Aquella project is a strategic collaboration between PCPD, a property and infrastructure developer and investor in the Asia-Pacific region, and Lan Kwai Fong Group (LKF Group), an entertainment, hospitality and lifestyle brand based in Hong Kong. PCPD and LKF Group appointed AGS as the pre-opening and operational management company for Aquella Golf & Country Club.
